Thank you for viewing our web site. The Woman's Board of Day Kimball Hospital is celebrating over 100 years of service. The mission of the Woman's Board is to raise funds to enhance the quality and services of Day Kimball Hospital.
Our latest project is the commitment of $217,000 towards the purchase of a new cardiac monitoring system for the Emergency Department. Monies are paid toward this commitment at each quarterly meeting and are earned from various Woman's Board-sponsored fund raisers and The Shop at Day Kimball Hospital.
The Shop at Day Kimball
The Shop at Day Kimball Hospital has a wonderful selection of unique and seasonal gift items. Purchases at The Shop are tax free and complimentary gift wrapping is offered with each sale. All proceeds from The Shop at DKH go directly to the Woman’s Board general fund and ultimately help to purchase the medical equipment the Woman’s Board donates to the hospital.
The Shop is operated and managed solely by a dedicated group of volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering some time (you need not be a Woman’s Board member to volunteer) you may contact Janet Johnson, Volunteer Services Coordinator for Day Kimball Hospital at (860) 928-6541 ext. 2279. The gift shop is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and occasionally in the evening.

Happy Birthday Day Kimball - February 14, 2010
Sunday, February 14, 2010 was Day Kimball's birthday, the boy for whom our hospital was named. Every year the Woman's Board celebrates Day Kimball's birthday with cake for all employees to enjoy. The cake was donated by Phyllis's Bakery in Putnam and as always, was beautiful and delicious.
