Welcome to the Day Kimball Hospital Woman's Board
Thank you for viewing our web site. The Woman's Board of Day Kimball Hospital is celebrating over 100 years of service and has over 300 members. The mission of the Woman's Board is to raise funds to enhance the quality and services of Day Kimball Hospital.
In June 2012, the Woman’s Board made two new commitments to Day Kimball Hospital. The first is to raise $10,000 for the purchase of a phototherapy system and a jaundice meter for use in the Birthing Center to treat jaundice newborns. The second is to raise $107,250 toward the purchase of two digital breast imaging systems that will reduce the amount of time it takes to complete a mammogram, improve the resolution of the image, and reduce the amount of radiation received by the patient.
We recently completed our fundraising efforts for the purchase of a cardiac monitoring system of the Emergency Department, raising more than $148,000.
Funds for these commitments come from The Shop at Day Kimball and from various fundraisers sponsored by the Woman’s Board.

The Shop at Day Kimball
The Shop at Day Kimball Hospital has a wonderful selection of unique and seasonal gift items. Purchases at The Shop are tax free and complimentary gift wrapping is offered with each sale. All proceeds from The Shop at Day Kimball go directly to the Woman’s Board and unless otherwise directed, provide the major source of funding for our pledges to Day Kimball Hospital.
The Shop is operated and managed solely by a dedicated group of volunteers and volunteering at The Shop is a wonderful opportunity for Woman’s Board members to fulfill their commitment to the organization. If you are interested in volunteering some time (you need not be a Woman’s Board member to volunteer) you may contact Janet Johnson, Volunteer Services Coordinator for Day Kimball Hospital at (860) 928-6541 ext. 2279. The gift shop is open 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and occasionally in the evening.
