Regular employees who work at least 24 hours per week are eligible for the following benefits:
Day Kimball Hospital pays 15% of hourly wages for second shift, 20%
of hourly wages for third shift, and an additional 15% for weekends.
For vacations, holidays, short-term personal illnesses and/or any other “personal” reason. Accrued time is determined by the number of hours paid and length of service.
A full-time employee during the first five years will accrue 216 hours per year.
Provides pay during illnesses and/or other disabling medical conditions of greater than 32 hours. The accrual is a function of the number of hours worked. A full-time employee will accrue 48 Disability Hours per year.
Self-insured with three medical plans available – In-Network, Premium or Value Plan. Dependent Care and Health Care Reimbursement Accounts are also available.
Dental and Vision Insurance is provided at a small cost.
One times annual salary provided at no cost. Employees’ also have
the option to purchase up to four times their annual salary at reduced costs. In
addition, we offer Dependent and Spouse coverage.
The hospital funds a 401K retirement program. Employees may also make contributions.
Employees will be eligible for up to $4,000.00 per fiscal year in reimbursement.
An employee can designate an amount to invest in a plan of their choice through payroll deduction.
Based on performance evaluations and range from 1- 5%.

Day Kimball Hospital is located in the heart of northeastern Connecticut, often called “The Quiet Corner” for its rural character and relaxed pace of life. Both the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos are minutes away, and continuing education opportunities are available through nearby University of Connecticut, Nichols College and other colleges and universities.
