Appeals

We can keep caring for you, because you never stop caring for us.

Make Your Gift

We love the Northeast Connecticut community. We love providing you with exceptional healthcare close to home. And we love your always-generous response to our annual appeal. Year after year, we are humbled by your kindness and support. Your gifts and donations come to Day Kimball, but they really go to everyone we serve, because every penny we receive goes directly to programs, technologies, and equipment that help us continually improve the care we deliver.

In 2016, your generosity helped us:

  • improve the Brousseau Surgical Suite within the Hale Medical Pavilion, with upgraded climate control systems and surgical lighting
  • add a state-of-the-art patient monitoring system in our Intensive Care and Medical/Surgical units to provide all-inclusive monitoring not only at the central nursing station, but also at the patient’s bedside and in transit
  • purchase a stereotactic biopsy unit to provide faster on-site radiology services for detection and diagnosis of potentially abnormal breast tissue
  • purchase a new PillCam recorder and monitor for minimally invasive endoscopic procedures
  • purchase a Tissue Tek Vacuum Infiltration Processor for same-day diagnosis of tissue samples in our laboratory

In 2017, your generosity will help us:

  • upgrade our radiology rooms and portable x-ray equipment to direct digital
  • add new birthing beds in our maternity department
  • purchase a new operating table, eye microscope, ORA eye system, and laparoscopic surgical scopes for our operating rooms
  • add two new ultrasound machines and a new EKG machine

These vital upgrades will help us meet the growing demand for our surgical services, and enable us to provide the most technologically advanced and highest quality testing across all areas of care. Please help us reach our $1.5 million goal.

Make Your Gift

As we do each year, we ask once again for your support in our mission to keep this community healthy. If you give every year, we thank you and ask you to continue your generosity. If you haven’t given in a few years, please consider renewing your support. And if you’ve never given, this is a great time to do so, as your donation means more today than it ever has in the past.

We can not thank you enough for your generosity. Every penny of your gift remains local and goes directly to helping improve life for this community. If you'd prefer to speak with someone in our Development Office to learn more or make a donation over the phone, please call (860) 928-7141.
