Our Behavioral Health Crisis Team is available at the Day Kimball Hospital Emergency Department 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide expert, compassionate care to individuals of all ages who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis. Individuals in crisis may seek these services on their own, or be accompanied by a family member, friend, emergency medical service personnel, or police.
The Behavioral Health Crisis Team is comprised of masters or doctorate prepared, licensed clinicians who are skilled in providing short-term support and stabilization in order to manage the crisis. Clinicians will also ensure continuity of care by arranging for follow-up services after the initial intervention. These services are also extended to family members of those in crisis to ensure a comprehensive approach, a supportive environment and complete communication.
