Siemens c.cam Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Camera System is First of its Kind

PUTNAM, CT – In a continuing effort to provide accurate diagnostic imaging and quality patient care, Day Kimball Healthcare has purchased a Siemens c.cam dedicated cardiac nuclear medicine camera. The new system is ideal for the early detection and staging of heart disease.

This Siemens c.cam system is the first of its kind, featuring the latest in state-of-the-art SPECT technology, making it the most innovative nuclear cardiology system. The machine’s open and reclining chair design allows the patient to be comfortable, which allows for improved image quality because the patient is less likely to move during the scan.

“This new technology offers a whole new angle to cardiology,” said Brian Esmaieli, MBA, RTNM (MR), Day Kimball’s lead nuclear medicine technologist. “Day Kimball Healthcare is constantly looking to use the most advanced technology to best serve patients; therefore, the Siemens c. cam is another example of how Day Kimball offers the highest quality of care in Northeast Connecticut.”

With its unique combination of image quality, patient versatility and unsurpassed functionality, Day Kimball Healthcare expects their new Siemens c.cam nuclear imaging system to significantly reduce examination time and costs while improving patient outcomes. Day Kimball has provided comprehensive nuclear medicine diagnostic imaging services to the community for many years. Expanding their diagnostic capabilities with the addition of Siemens c.cam will ensure their ability to provide high-quality services and deliver cost-effective care to their patients. Day Kimball is now able to offer both one-day and two-day cardiac scanning.

Siemens is the world leader in diagnostic imaging, providing a complete spectrum of advanced diagnostic imaging equipment.
