Day Kimball Healthcare Provides Adult Community Influenza Immunization Clinics

PUTNAM, CT – Day Kimball Healthcare will provide adult community influenza immunization clinics beginning on October 4, 2010 throughout Northeast Connecticut. Adults must be 18 years and older. Both flu and pneumonia immunizations will be available. The clinics are scheduled as follows:

October 4: 12 noon - 2:00 p.m. at the Voluntown Fire Station
October 5: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Eastford Town Hall
October 6: 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon at the Woodstock Town Hall
October 11: 10:00 a.m. - 12 noon at the Quinebaug Valley Senior Center
                    1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Brooklyn Salem Village, Brooklyn
October 12: 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Ella Grasso Senior housing
                    1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Plainfield Senior Center
October 13: 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Hampton Town Hall
October 14: 10:00 a.m.- 12 noon at the Jordan Community Center, Sterling
                    2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Primrose Village
October 18: 11:00 a.m. - 12 noon at Seeley Brown
October 19: 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Creamery Brook, Brooklyn
                    1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Pomfret Senior Center
October 20: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Griswold Town Hall
October 21: 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon at Cedar View Village, Plainfield
                    1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Westfield Village, Danielson
October 25: 11:00a.m. – 12 noon at Little River Acres
                    2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Canterbury Senior Center
October 26: 12 noon -2:00 p.m. at Thompson Library Senior Center
November 2: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Senior Expo at Ellis Technical High School

The cost is covered under Medicare Part B, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Connecticare, Health Net, NE Health Direct or Alliance, Oxford Health. All others pay $40 for flu, $60 for pneumonia or $70 for both. For cash payments, the exact amount is necessary and checks should be made payable to “Day Kimball Healthcare.” Community members are encouraged to wear short sleeves when coming to the flu clinics for immunizations.
