Community Seasonal Flu Clinics

Day Kimball Healthcare has rescheduled the community seasonal flu clinics beginning on December 14, 2009 throughout Northeast Connecticut. These clinics are for adults aged 18 and older. Only seasonal influenza vaccinations will be available. The clinics are scheduled as follows:

December 21	10:30 a.m. - 12 noon 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.	Cedar View Village - Plainfield Westfield Village - Danielson

The cost for flu and pneumonia immunizations is covered under Medicare Part B, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Community Health Network of CT, Connecticare, Meritain, Health Net, NE Health Direct or Alliance, Oxford Health and United Health Care. Community members are asked to bring their Medicare or Insurance card with them for verification. All others must pay a fee of $40 for the influenza immunization. Insurances not listed may be eligible for reimbursement directly from the insurance company. Reimbursement forms will be available on location. For cash payments, the exact amount is necessary and checks should be made payable to “Day Kimball Hospital.” Community members are encouraged to wear short sleeves when coming to the flu clinics for immunizations.
