Roger Houle died in the care of Hospice in August of this year. He was a member of the Moosup VFW and the Danielson Lions Club. Roger also served in Vietnam and played lead guitar and sang in the band that plays at the VFW on Sunday nights.On September 19, 2007, members of the Moosup VFW presented a check for $1500 to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeastern Connecticut.
As a “thank you” to Hospice, the Danielson Lions Club helped the Moosup VFW put on a dance to raise money for Hospice. Nearly 130 people danced the night away while enjoying salty snacks provided by Frito Lay, as well as beverages and raffle prizes that were also generously donated.
