Admission to the event is $75 per person and includes plentiful hors d’oeuvres, desserts and entertainment, all while strolling picturesque Greystone Farm. A cash wine bar will also be available. Co-chair and organizer, Paula Schimmel, said, “Most of us, at some point in our lives, have been or will be touched by the incredible work done by Hospice. Twilight in the Country gives us an opportunity to assist Hospice and Palliative of Northeastern Connecticut in continuing to make a profound difference in the lives of others.” While guests enjoy hors d’oeuvres and wine, they will be entertained by the Anders Vercelli Jazz Trio. Following the stroll, guests will be ushered to their seats for a performance by the American Band. The American Band dates back to 1837 and is comprised of more than 50 musicians whose repertoire ranges from the classical to the whimsical; from rousing marches and fiery overtures to gently descriptive pieces and hymns; and from operas to show tunes.
