PUTNAM, CT –– In celebration of National Volunteer Week,
April 15 to 21, Day Kimball Hospital honored its volunteers Wednesday at a recognition luncheon at the Imperial Room in Danielson. The luncheon was planned by the staff of Pastoral Care and Volunteer Services and the Volunteer Advisory Board. This annual event honors those volunteers who donate their time, talent and efforts to Day Kimball Hospital and its programs.
As volunteers are such an integral part of Day Kimball Hospital, the afternoon’s program included a panel of diverse speakers including, The Reverend Virginia Army, Director of Pastoral Care and Volunteer Services; Peter Deary, Chairman of the Board of Directors; Robert E. Smanik, FACHE, President and CEO; John Graham, MD; Sandra Bucci, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services; Thomas Denton, Vice President of Human Resources; and Janet Johnson, Coordinator of Pastoral Care and Volunteer Services.
