It is funded through grants from Day Kimball Hospital and a grant to the Arthritis Foundation from the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health. The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program was created for people with arthritis or osteoporosis to keep joints flexible, strengthen muscles and bones, and help reduce pain and stiffness. The exercise routines use a variety of exercises, games and activities to relieve both the physical symptoms and the depression which often accompanies limitations caused by arthritis. Pre-registration is necessary to participate in the class and enrollment is limited.
