Rachelle Davis, RN, of the Ambulatory Care Unit Named Day Kimball Hospital’s September Employee of the Month


Rachelle Davis, RN, of Day Kimball Hospital’s Ambulatory Care Unit was named the organization’s September Employee of the Month by the Employee Council.

PUTNAM, CT – Day Kimball Hospital announces that Rachelle Davis, RN, of the Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) is the hospital’s September employee of the month. The Employee Council, a group of 20 hospital representatives, selected Davis as the employee of the month after reviewing various nominations from the hospital staff.

“I was very surprised to be named employee of the month,”
said Davis. “Everyone I work with, in every department – nursing, maintenance, lab, dietary- is extremely professional and hard working. I am very grateful and appreciate being selected by my colleagues here at Day Kimball Hospital.
Thank you all very much!”

Davis started her career at Day Kimball Hospital in November
of 1999 as a medical/surgical care nurse prior to transferring
to the Ambulatory Care Unit in November of 2002. According
to her colleagues, Davis has a kind, caring attitude towards patients, families and her fellow co-workers. She is always willing to adjust her time to accommodate the ACU and Medical/Surgical Unit to help out whenever and wherever needed. Davis is able to soothe patients with her calming manner, and put their fears at ease by explaining procedures and what is to be expected.

In her spare time, Davis enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In September, she will be joining two other Day Kimball Hospital employees on a mission trip to Mongolia to
help establish medical practices for impoverished children. Her positive attitude and sunny disposition make her a valuable asset to Day Kimball Hospital.

Davis lives in Putnam with her husband, Michael, and their three children, Michael, Zach and Troy.

On Thursday, September 20th, Day Kimball Hospital will host a celebration reception in honor of Davis’ achievement. Her department, fellow colleagues, and family will be invited to attend.
