What to Expect
Preparing for your visit
We want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your hospital stay. You will be provided with nearly everything you need for your stay. Here are a few suggestions to use while preparing for your hospital stay.
- You will probably want to bring items such as dentures, hearing aid(s) or eyeglasses with you. There is a bedside cabinet for storing personal belongings. If you wear dentures or hearing aids, please put them in containers provided for that purpose and place them in the drawer of the cabinet. Dentures wrapped in tissue or left on tabletops or meal trays could be discarded accidentally.
- Day Kimball Hospital is NOT responsible for loss of dentures, eyeglasses, hearing aids, other personal items, or cash.
- For safety reasons please do not bring any plug-in electrical appliances to the hospital. For example: electric razors, blow dryers, curling irons, radios, CD players, DVD players, computers, and other electronic devices. You may bring battery-operated appliances, but you will need to provide your own batteries.
- A safe is available for patients to use for valuables but it is better to leave valuables at home.
