Why should I choose Day Kimball HomeMakers?
For more than 25 years, we’ve built a reputation as a trusted provider of professional, compassionate care. Most of our staff members are from our local community, and they go above and beyond to serve their clients, often becoming close friends with them. As part of Day Kimball Healthcare, we work closely with Day Kimball HomeCare, Geriatric Care Management services and primary care doctors to ensure our clients have access to all the in-home services they need.

Are your services available in other environments, such as assisted living facilities?
Yes. We can provide our full line of services to people in senior housing, private apartments, retirement communities, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities and even hospitals.
Are your services limited to people over 60?
No. We have clients of all ages. We specialize in serving seniors, but our services are for anyone who needs help because of age, illness or injury.
Are your employees screened/trained/insured?
Yes. Our employees are fully screened, trained, and insured. Screening includes criminal background and motor vehicle checks, and training is ongoing. We take great pride in our employees; we know they are the key to satisfied customers, so we go to great lengths to hire the right people and give them the tools and skills they need to excel.
Do I have my choice of day/time/homemaker?
We personalize your plan of care based on the information we collect during your initial assessment, including your location, schedule and needs. We then select the right staff member to work with you. Of course, if you are dissatisfied with our selection, we will make a change.
How are the services paid for?
Services are paid for on a sliding scale according to income. Some clients privately pay the full cost themselves, while others qualify for varying degrees of assistance (up to 100% of the cost) from one or more of our 11 different pay sources. Who pays the caregiver? Do I pay them and you separately?
Payments for the services you receive are made to Day Kimball HomeMakers; you do not pay the caregiver. We pay our caregivers’ salary, gas reimbursement and payroll taxes. If you privately pay for the services you receive, you will receive regular statements from Day Kimball HomeMakers.
What is the live-in service?
Our live-in service makes it possible for those who need constant supervision to continue to live at home. A bedroom and meals are provided for the live-in at the client’s home, and the live-in provides the care the client needs.
