The agency’s exceptional non-medical homemaker, chore, companion and respite services often enable elderly or disabled clients to live safely in the familiar and comfortable surroundings of their own homes. Services provided include housekeeping, laundry, cooking and meal preparation, transportation, shopping and errands, rides to medical appointments and medication reminders. Day Kimball HomeMakers companion and respite services are ideal for individuals recovering from an illness, or for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or similar form of dementia and cannot be left alone safely. Services include socialization, meal preparation and clean up, medication supervision, shopping and other errands. A companion from Day Kimball HomeMakers can also provide invaluable respite for a family member or other caregiver while they work, shop or are on vacation, ensuring security and socialization for their loved one or friend. Companion and respite services are available hourly, half or full days or for an occasional overnight. Services ProvidedHomemaker, companion, traveling companion and respite services are provided to clients in Brooklyn, Canterbury, Eastford, Hampton, Killingly, Plainfield, Pomfret, Putnam, Thompson and Woodstock, CT. Personal Care Assistant HomeMakers professional services have expanded to include personal care assistance. This private pay and non-medical service is available for those who are in need of assistance with personal hygiene and more. Personal Care Assistants can help with: • Bathing Personal Care Assistants complete the continuum of support provided by Day Kimball HomeMakers. They respect one's dignity, while helping to maintain independence in the home. What to expect during your visit/procedure• A telephone interview will first be conducted to determine the client’s specific needs and to discuss payment options. • After the telephone interview, a home visit can be scheduled for a further assessment and to answer any remaining questions. Services can begin shortly afterwards. Important reminders/things to remember• Medicare and other health insurances do not pay for these services; however, there are several programs that do if one qualifies. Call the office to discuss these different options; • A physician order is not required; • Clients can increase or decrease services at any time according to circumstances. |
