Intensive Care Unit |
Day Kimball Hospital’s Gordon Harrower Memorial Intensive
Care Unit (ICU) has been specially designed to provide the highest
level of medical care to the most critically ill or injured patients.
The ICU is a combined 17-bed unit, consisting of six single ICU
beds and 11 semi-private telemetry beds supported by an advanced
central monitoring stations and a special procedure room.

Nuclear medicine is an advanced diagnostic tool that utilizes
safe doses of radioactive material (called radioisotopes) to perform
bone and organ scans. These tests are used to study the function
and structure of many areas of the body, including the heart, brain,
lungs and kidneys. The radioisotopes highlight the bones or organs
being studied so a “SPECT Camera” can produce an image,
which can assist physicians in making a diagnosis.
