What to expect during your visit/procedure
Medical laboratory patients are usually seen within 10-20 minutes upon arrival. However, between the hours 7:00 am -8:00 am, the center experiences a large number of patients. Waiting time is generally less after 8:00 am.
General x-rays are usually completed within 20-30 minutes. Some procedures might require the patient to change into a “Johnny.”
Mammography patients will be called in advance to verify their appointment times.
Important reminders/things to remember
Laboratory patients are reminded to follow their physician’s instructions if their test requires special instructions, such as fasting.
Mammography patients are requested to avoid caffeine 24-hour prior to the procedure and not to use deodorant since this can sometimes appear on the images
Bring all current insurance cards.
Please read and follow all preparations carefully. They are important for the completion and diagnostic quality of the study. Failure to do so could result in a poor quality study or a rescheduling of the test.
Bring all requisitions or paperwork that the ordering physician has given you to the test.
Most results will be reported to the ordering physician within three to four working days.
All examinations will only be performed with the written request of a physician.
Patients will receive two bills, one from Day Kimball Hospital for performing the procedure and one from Team Physicians of CT. for interpreting the procedure. |
