Patient Accounts
Day Kimball Hospital’s Patient Accounts department prides itself on
accurate, expedient billing services. Patient Accounts specialists are skilled
in the understanding and processing of a wide variety of insurance plans
including all major carriers, HUSKY, Medicare, Medicaid, and others. The
department utilizes a modern computerized network to ensure prompt, informative
customer service.
The department’s highly trained and customer focused staff answers
questions about patient bills, processes primary and secondary insurance
claims and provides financial counseling including assistance with payment
arrangements.
Payment on outstanding balances can be made by mail, over the telephone
(using Master Card, Visa, Discover, American express or check by phone) or in person. Payments in
person can be made at the Cashier’s Window, located on the main floor
of the hospital, across from the Women’s Board Gift Shop. The Cashier’s
Window is open Monday – Friday, from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Day Kimball Hospital participates in Medicare, Medicaid, SAGA, HealthNet,
Foxwoods, United Healthcare, Blue Cross, CIGNA, AETNA, OXFORD and other
managed care insurers.
Services Provided
Facility billing, financial counseling and telephone representatives are
available during the stated business hours to answer any questions.
Important reminders/things to remember
Please be sure to bring your insurance cards as well as your personal photo
ID when coming to the hospital for services or asking questions about your
bill.
