Support Groups/Services/ On Going Programs
Day Kimball Hospital sponsors numerous support groups on a wide variety of health related issues for the community. These groups meet regularly at the hospital or the Center for Healthy Aging in Putnam. Most are facilitated by trained hospital staff, although some groups are led by community members who have received training from the hospital’s Wellness Department.

Support Groups
Support group for people with Sleep Apnea, their friends &
family. Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at

AA meets
Saturdays & Sundays at DKH from 10-11:00 am. NA meets at DKH from
7-8:30 pm on Sundays.
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at

A peer support group for adults who

partner on the many issues of labor & delivery. Women should choose the

Teaches safe & nurturing
childcare techniques, behavior management skills & appropriate responses

be attended to receive a childcare certificate. Class size is limited. At DKH

Participants will be safely
hypnotized twice during the program by a registered clinical
hypnotherapist & be able to stop smoking without weight gain, stress or

On-Going Programs
Amputees meet with Dr. Joseph O’Keefe to ensure
proper care & fit of prosthetics. Meets the 4th Tuesday of every month
from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon at DKH Rehab Center in Putnam. For more

DKH’s Cardiopulmonary
Rehabilitation Program offers free educational programs for people with
heart and/or lung disease to help them maintain a healthy lifestyle. For info.

A healthcare program for pregnant
women & children up to 19 years of age. Services include insurance for
prenatal care for pregnant women & complete medical coverage for
children. Parents or guardians may qualify for free medical assistance if
financial restrictions are met. Case management, food & shelter services are

Clinical breast exams, mammograms, pap
tests, pelvic exams & other diagnostic services are available to women who
are 40 years of age or older, have no health insurance, are not covered for
those services, or have a high deductible. For info. call Linda Daniels at

Includes physical exams, immunizations, simple blood
tests, health supervision & counseling for parents regarding normal growth
and development habit training, emotional health & diet for children up to

For individuals with severe walking disabilities due
to new medical or trauma related conditions, progressive debilitating
diseases or upgrades to current mobility devices. Meets the 1st Monday of
every month from 1:30-3:30 pm at the DKH Rehab Center in Danielson.
