Wellness Programs
Day Kimball Hospital provides the community with a wide range of education and wellness programs and health screenings through the Wellness Department of Day Kimball HomeCare.
These programs are designed to assist in the prevention or early detection
of a number of common health problems, such as heart disease, diabetes,
lung disease, and many others.
Services Provided
A variety of community education programs such as Risk Appraisals and Health
Seminars. Health screenings for
blood pressure, cholesterol
and glucose
are also offered.

Programs are also listed in the hospital’s community newsletter, “Our Community’s Health.”
All paid programs require pre-registration and payment.

Senior Walking program. Year round. Call 928-6541 for group walking
chart.
Celebration and acknowledgement in Fall and during kick off each May.
Cardiovascular Health Program in collaboration with the Northeast District
Dept of Health. Offers support for School System, community centers and
local businesses in order to create heart healthy environments. Will work
with alternative food vendors, menus, employee wellness programs, School
Health Index, writing policy and establish walking programs. To join

Employees Wellness Program consultation service. Offers initial
evaluation, on site Health Fairs, Cholesterol and Blood Sugar Testing,
Health Surveys, Planning and Implementation, Stress Management, and
Nutrition classes. Tailored to meet your individual business needs. Call
Elaine Turner RN for free initial consultation.
Adult Flu and Pneumonia clinics.(18 years or older) Late October through
December 2004. Minimum participation for private on-site clinic 50. Many
public clinics available. Watch out for ads in Shopper's Guide and
Turnpike buyer.
