CHARLENE LEITH-BUSHEY APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AT DAY KIMBALL HEALTHCARE

–Robert E. Smanik, president and CEO of Day Kimball Healthcare, announced that Charlene L. Leith-Bushey has been hired as the organization's director of communications. Ms. Leith-Bushey is responsible for all corporate communications including advertising, public relations and promoting Day Kimball Healthcare's strong and positive presence in the community. In addition, she will develop and implement the organization's strategic communications plan to support Day Kimball's long- and short-term business objectives and will also have a significant role in formulating the organization's goals and strategies.

Her experience and education in communications and marketing will be a terrific asset for our efforts to communicate the many great programs offered at Day Kimball Healthcare by its talented physicians and staff. With Charlene and her family residing in North Grosvenordale, we have the added benefit of her perspective on Northeast Connecticut.”

Ms. Leith-Bushey comes to Day Kimball Healthcare with twenty years of progressive marketing experience. Her most recent position was at UniBank in Whitinsville, MA where she was assistant vice president and marketing manager. Prior to that, she held positions with Tyrolit North America (Bay State/Sterling, Inc.) in Westborough, MA and the Natick Mall in Natick, MA. Ms. Leith-Bushey holds both a Master's Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Nichols College. She also has an Associate in Arts degree in Management of Technology from Central New England College.

Ms. Leith-Bushey served several years as the chairperson of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce's annual Home & Business Expo. She was also a volunteer instructor for Junior Achievement of Central Massachusetts. In 2001, Leith-Bushey was selected as one of the Worcester Business Journals' “Top 40 Under 40.”

Formerly of Framingham and Millbury, MA, Ms. Leith-Bushey moved to Northeast Connecticut five years ago and currently resides in North Grosvenordale with her husband Ron and her sons Cameron and Colton.
