Sook Hee Cho is Day Kimball’s April Employee of the Month
Sook Hee Cho, senior medical technologist, is Day Kimball’s April Employee of the Month.
PUTNAM, CONN. – Day Kimball Healthcare announces that Sook Hee Cho, senior medical technologist in the laboratory, is Day Kimball’s April Employee of the Month.
A group of ten of Cho’s fellow employees nominated her for this honor, citing her as a Day Kimball “unsung treasure” due to her readiness to take on extra shifts whenever there is staffing needs. Eric Neal, director of the laboratory said, “Sook Hee is extremely valuable to our department. She has a positive demeanor and helpful attitude for her fellow coworkers.”
Cho has been employed by Day Kimball since July of 1982; nearly 30 years. In her role as senior medical technologist, Cho provides testing on patient samples and provides physicians with quality results using a variety of clinical laboratory equipment. She has total understanding of patient safety and laboratory techniques necessary to guarantee complete patient safety and anonymity.
“It is such an honor to be an Employee of the Month,” said Cho. She continued, “I’m proud to be part of our unique laboratory family and would like to thank them for nominating me.”
Cho obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Medical Technology from Ewha Woman’s University in Seoul, S. Korea. She was born and raised in Seoul, S. Korea before moving to the United States in 1982. She currently resides in Oxford, Mass. with her husband Yiho, and they have two adult sons Ben and Peter.
