The Day Kimball Hospital Campus has greatly expanded over the decades since the first facility was built more than 120 years ago to provide inpatient medical services to Northeast Connecticut. Still our largest campus, we offer a comprehensive list of inpatient and outpatient services at this location.
Today within the Day Kimball Hospital building we have:
- Day Kimball Medical Group physician offices located onsite for pediatrics and OB/GYN services on the main floor near Main Entrance A
- Laboratory and blood draw services located on the main floor around the corner from Main Entrance A
- Diagnostic imaging department located on the main floor, entering through Main Entrance A on weekdays and through Emergency Entrance E on weekends
- Sleep Disorder Center located on the second floor, follow signs after entering through the Emergency Entrance E
- Our in-home care services for Day Kimball HomeCare and Hospice & Palliative Care of Northeastern Connecticut have administrative offices on the third floor
- As well as comprehensive offering of inpatient care and outpatient procedures including cancer care, maternal child health and emergency services
Also located on the hospital campus is the Community Services Center, which is located to the right upon entering the campus driveway, where we have:
- Behavioral Health Center for adult and child/adolescent outpatient care on the main and second floors
- Child Advocacy Services located on the third floor
- Various administrative offices on the third floor

Entrance Hours
Main Entrance (Entrance A)
Use this entrance Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday – Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. noon. For those visiting outside those hours or on holidays, please enter the hospital via the Emergency Department (Entrance E).
Gift Shop/Dining Entrance (Entrance D)
This entrance is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for community members and staff who would like to access our gift shop and cafeteria.
Emergency Entrance (Entrance E)
24/7 for emergency services and sleep center services
Access when Main Entrance is closed

Main Entrance (Entrance A)
Use this entrance for all services except those indicated below.
Monday – Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon.
Closed on holidays.
For those visiting outside those hours or on holidays, please enter the hospital via the Emergency Department (Entrance E).
Birthing Center (Entrance B) is open:
24/7 for drop-off of moms for baby deliveries.
Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation (Entrance C) is open:
Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon
Gift Shop/Dining Entrance (Entrance D)
Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for community members and staff who would like to access our gift shop and cafeteria.
Emergency Entrance (Entrance E) is open:
