PUTNAM, CT – In the Photo L-R: Galfo Lambros and Marieanne Viens. Lambros is one of ten women who recently received a makeover as part of the Look Good…Feel Better® program held at Day Kimball Healthcare. All ten women who are battling cancer received gift bags full of various products and tools to use along with scarves, bandanas and wigs to wear. Local cosmetologist, Marieanne Viens, worked with the women to help them learn how to apply makeup and use it to their advantage. When speaking to the ten makeover recipients, Viens said, “Makeup is about enhancement, not about covering up. It is our hope that feeling put-together on the outside can help all of you have a little more energy on the inside.” Women also received guidance on how to properly secure bandanas and wigs. Day Kimball Healthcare employee, Heidi Blackmar along with the American Cancer Society, coordinated bringing the program to Day Kimball Healthcare for those in Northeast Connecticut.

Look Good…Feel Better® is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral, national public service program created to help individuals with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem, and manage their treatment and recovery with greater confidence.
