P. Subakeesan (Suba), MD, Joins Day Kimball Healthcare Medical Staff, offering pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine services.

Dr. Suba Expands Day Kimball’s Capabilities in Pulmonary,
Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Services

PUTNAM, CONN. – P. Subakeesan (Suba), MD, has joined the medical staff at Day Kimball Healthcare to provide inpatient pulmonary and critical care services, outpatient pulmonary care and sleep medicine services.

“We are extremely pleased that Dr. Suba will be joining our pulmonary and critical care medical staff. He is an excellent physician whose experience and skills further strengthen our talented team of world-class physicians,” said Robert E. Smanik, president and CEO of Day Kimball Healthcare.

Dr. Suba began his medical career at National Hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He did his Internal Medicine training at Coney Island Hospital and his pulmonary and critical care training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.

Dr. Suba’s sleep medicine training was at the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute, affiliated with Seton Hall University. He spent six years as an attending physician in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at Woodhull Medical Center, a teaching affiliate of New York University Medical School in Brooklyn. He is Board Certified in Sleep Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Internal Medicine. And, he has over 10 years of medical teaching and practice experience.

Dr. Suba joins Dr. John Day, Jr., who has been providing top quality pulmonary and critical care services at Day Kimball since 2002.
