Day Kimball Health CEO Kyle Kramer Recognized as One of Becker’s Community Hospital CEOs to Know

Day Kimball Health (DKH) announced that Chief Executive Officer Kyle Kramer has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2025 list of “207 Community Hospital Presidents and CEOs to Know.” The annual list recognizes hospital leaders from across the country for their work to advance healthcare delivery, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen their communities. 

Kramer, who has led Day Kimball Health since 2020, was recognized by Becker’s for his commitment to expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered care in Northeast Connecticut, as well as for his leadership during a time of transformation and innovation for the health system. 

“Kyle’s inclusion in this list is a reflection of his dedication to our mission, our patients, and our entire community,” said Peter Deary, Chairman of the Day Kimball Health Board of Directors. “His strategic vision and leadership continue to move our organization forward in meaningful and measurable ways.”

As CEO, Kramer focuses on physician-hospital alignment and strategic relationship development. He leads Day Kimball’s efforts to grow key service lines, enhance physician engagement, and improve operational and financial performance.

Kramer brings more than 30 years of experience in health care, having served in senior roles at academic and community health systems and physician groups nationwide. Prior to joining Day Kimball, he was a principal with Pinnacle Healthcare Consulting and held executive leadership roles at Main Line Health in Philadelphia, Yale New Haven Health System, Penn State University and Geisinger, and the University of Texas – Houston. 

Kramer has served as president of the American College of Cardiovascular Administrators, chairman of the American Academy of Medical Administrators, and as a board member for the American Heart Association. He lectures nationally at professional society meetings and industry symposiums. 

Kramer currently co-chairs the Rural Healthcare Subcommittee of Comptroller Sean Scanlon’s Comptroller Healthcare Cabinet and serves on the Connecticut Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees. Locally, he is a board member of the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce and the Hale YMCA. 

According to Becker’s Hospital Review, leaders featured on the list are selected for their efforts in guiding their organizations through changing healthcare landscapes, supporting workforce well-being, and ensuring financial and operational strength in the communities they serve.
