Day Kimball Health (DKH) has named Sean Grous, surgical coordinator for The Ortho Group, as its employee of the month for October 2025.
Grous joined DKH in October 2023 as a patient services representative in internal medicine before transitioning to pediatrics. His dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic paved the way for his advancement to surgical coordinator in June 2025.
In this role, Grous is an essential member of the orthopedics team, overseeing the scheduling and coordination of a wide range of surgical procedures. He also manages pre-rehab coordination and daily communication between physicians and staff to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
When asked how he felt about receiving this recognition, Grous said he is humbled by the honor. “I feel truly honored to be named employee of the month,” Grous said. “I love where I work and everyone I work with. They are like my second family.”
Kyle Kramer, president and CEO of Day Kimball Health, praised Grous for his commitment to excellence and compassion. “Sean exemplifies the values that define Day Kimball Health,” Kramer said. “His attention to detail, his positivity, and his dedication to our patients and team members make a meaningful impact every day. We are grateful for his contributions and proud to recognize him for this well-deserved honor.”
Grous’ favorite part of his role is meeting with patients to schedule their surgeries and offering reassurance during what can be an overwhelming time. He holds an associate degree in business administration from Quinebaug Valley Community College and a bachelor's degree in healthcare management from Bellevue University.
Grous lives in Griswold, CT, with his partner and their two dogs. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with his family, friends, and coworkers. He is also an active community member and has volunteered to support several local initiatives, including helping build new playgrounds for the town’s elementary and middle schools.
