June 30, 2020

Amy Tucciarone, administrative assistant for ancillary services at Day Kimball Hospital, has been named employee of the month for June by Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH).
Tucciarone, who has been working in the healthcare field for 10 years, began her career at DKH in December 2014. In her role, Tucciarone is responsible for providing staff support and oversees the administration of DKH’s ancillary services departments.
According to Tucciarone’s supervisor, Patti Bernier, director of ancillary services, Day Kimball Hospital, “Amy considers the patient and organization first in each decision she makes. She always speaks calmly with our patients, listening intently. Her persistence to represent Day Kimball and its’ mission is outstanding. She brings joy to each work day, making seemingly impossible tasks manageable. We are all proud of Amy.”
In response to being named employee of the month, Tucciarone said, “I feel very honored and thankful to work for an organization where I always feel valued and appreciated.”
When asked what she likes most about her job, Tucciarone said, “I love to problem solve and help people, and in my position I get to do both of these daily. The ancillary services staff are amazing coworkers. They are dedicated, compassionate, and are all great to work with.”
Tucciarone grew up in Glocester, RI. She currently resides in Dayville, CT with her husband John, and 5 children, Aaliyah, Brandon, Emma, Isabella, and Kim.
Tucciarone is currently pursuing a degree in healthcare administration. She earned a certificate in health information technology and coding from Quinebaug Valley Community College.
Day Kimball Healthcare’s employee of the month program is sponsored by Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. “The Mashantucket (Western) Pequot Tribal Nation and Foxwoods Resort Casino has been focused on taking care of the people that serve within our community, and we appreciate everything Day Kimball Healthcare does,” said Foxwood’s Director of Sponsorships and Partnerships Roy Colebut-Ingram. “Supporting meaningful employee recognition programs like that at DKH is just one way that we feel we can express our appreciation.”
