Day Kimball Hospital (DKH) can confirm that one of its obstetrics and gynecology physicians was diagnosed with coronavirus disease COVID-19 on March 19, 2020. Following CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and Connecticut State Dept. of Health guidance (DPH), DKH notified the Northeast District Dept. of Health.

We are well prepared for this eventuality and the limited number of patients and staff who interacted with this physician have been identified and notified. They are being managed in accordance with the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and CT Dept. of Health protocols.

DKH is taking all the necessary precautions to ensure that this case is contained and to safeguard the well-being of our patients, visitors, volunteers and staff.
