Statement on ProHealth Physicians’ Closure of Putnam Practice
11/25/2025Day Kimball Health was disappointed to learn of ProHealth Physicians’ decision to close its longstanding Putnam practice. The physicians who have been part of Putnam Medical Associates have been valued members of the Day Kimball and Northeast Connecticut medical community, and we hope they will consider continuing their work in partnership with Day Kimball.
While Day Kimball remained in regular communication with ProHealth regarding its lease on the hospital campus, their decision to close was unexpected. Day Kimball did not make any changes to the lease terms.
Our priority is to ensure patients have uninterrupted access to primary care. Day Kimball Medical Group welcomes any patients seeking to continue their care with us. Our existing and soon-to-arrive primary care providers are prepared to support individuals and families throughout Northeast Connecticut, with offices located across the region, ensuring convenient access for patients and families.
