Cruisin' For Cancer Care Motorcycle & Car Cruise

Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported Day Kimball Healthcare Foundation’s annual Cruisin’ for Cancer Care Motorcycle and Car Cruise held, Sunday, July 19 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park! Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participants, donors, and volunteers, the event raised over $26,000 for the NE CT Cancer Fund of DKH, helping provide vital cancer screening and treatment services for the residents of Northeast Connecticut.

More than 235 motorcycle and car enthusiasts enjoyed laps around the 1.7-mile road course at Thompson Speedway, a scenic cruise through Northeast Connecticut, a delicious barbecue lunch at the Raceway Restaurant, and wonderful entertainment by the Southern Voice Band.

SEE YOU NEXT YEAR! 

Join us for a full day of fun beginning with laps on the track at Thompson Speedway, a 90-minute motorcycle and car cruise around the beautiful Northeast corner, followed by a delicious BBQ lunch and entertainment at the Thompson Raceway Restaurant & Banquet Hall. This event, organized by the Cruisin' for Cancer Care committee, draws hundreds of motorcyclists and classic car enthusiasts each year, many of whom ride in honor of a cancer survivor or memory of a loved one. To date, Cruisin' for Cancer Care has contributed over $265,000 to the Northeast Connecticut Cancer Fund of DKH.

Schedule of Events
10:00 a.m. | Registration
Registration for both motorcycles and cars

11:00 a.m. | Memorial Laps 
Laps around the race track and, if you wish, make it a tribute to a loved one by including their name in a memorial tribute pennant. (MOTORCYCLISTS: Helmets are required to ride on the track!)

12:00 p.m. | Depart for Cruise
Enjoy a 90-minute motorcycle and car cruise around the beautiful Northeast Corner. 

1:30 p.m. | Arrive back at Thompson Speedway
Enjoy a delicious BBQ Lunch and live entertainment.
