Day Kimball Health is advising patients, visitors and community members to plan for extra travel time beginning in July as the state undertakes a road project on Route 44 in Putnam.
Beginning June 29, message boards will be posted in the area to notify motorists of upcoming detour information. Road closures are expected to begin July 13, when the Connecticut Department of Transportation will begin work to repair a retaining wall along Route 44 near the Cargill Falls Mill site.
