Day Kimball Health Recognizes Emily Fowler, BSN, RN, as July 2026 Employee of the Month

09/01/2026

Day Kimball Health (DKH) has named Emily Fowler, BSN, RN, registered nurse in the Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU), as Employee of the Month for July 2026.

Fowler joined Day Kimball Health in December 2012 as a per diem registered nurse on the Medical-Surgical Unit shortly after graduating from nursing school. Over the past 14 years, she has built a career defined by professional growth and a commitment to serving patients and colleagues alike.

Throughout her time at DKH, Fowler has held a variety of nursing roles, including staff nurse and case manager. For the past six years, she has been an integral member of the ACU, where she provides patient care in one-day surgery, endoscopy and IV therapy. She also serves as charge nurse and clinical resource for fellow staff members while assisting with unit staffing and scheduling.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Fowler contributes to several initiatives that support quality care and organizational excellence. She participates in performance improvement projects and serves on the Nurse Clinical Practice Committee and Orthopedic Surgery Task Force.

“Emily exemplifies the compassion, professionalism and dedication that define exceptional patient care,” said Kyle Kramer, CEO of Day Kimball Health. “Her commitment to our patients, her willingness to support her colleagues and her leadership within the organization make her truly deserving of this recognition. We are grateful for the positive impact she makes every day.”

Fowler said she is honored to receive the recognition and credits her colleagues with making her work rewarding.

One of the aspects of nursing she values the most is the opportunity to build relationships with patients and help guide them through challenging experiences. She also appreciates the lifelong learning that comes with nursing and the collaborative approach required to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.

“Emily is someone our team can always count on,” said Rachelle Davis, RN, MSN, ambulatory care unit clinical manager. “She consistently goes above and beyond for both patients and colleagues. Whether she is caring for patients, mentoring staff, coordinating schedules or stepping in where help is needed, Emily leads by example. Her knowledge, positivity and willingness to support others have made her an invaluable member of our team.”

Originally from Grafton, Massachusetts, Fowler lives in Woodstock with her husband and two children. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Worcester State University.
