Day Kimball Healthcare Update on COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at Day Kimball Hospital
February 12, 2021
Day Kimball Healthcare (DKH) has been administering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to individuals who qualify for phase 1b of Connecticut’s vaccination program.
Due to limited vaccine supply, vaccination clinics at Day Kimball Hospital have been restricted to individuals with an appointment booked to receive their second dose of the vaccine after having received their first dose already at Day Kimball Hospital. Patients must bring their vaccination record card to their appointment.
In addition, individuals who have an appointment booked and have been instructed by their physician to receive the vaccine at Day Kimball Hospital will be accommodated. No walk-in appointments are available.
“Day Kimball understands that many people are eager to get the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Kyle Kramer, chief executive officer, Day Kimball Healthcare. “The last thing we want to do is to turn people away. Day Kimball stands by our commitment to providing Northeast Connecticut with equitable access to the vaccine as supply becomes available. We have been working very hard with the CT Department of Public Health to secure more doses of the vaccine as quickly as possible, and we thank you all for your continued patience,” Kramer said.
Until a vaccine is available to everyone, it is important to continue wearing masks, social distancing, and practicing basic hand hygiene.
