Hospice Tree of Life

December 13, 2020

Sunday December 13, 2020 | 6:30 p.m.
Special Virtual Ceremony

Please join us for a special virtual celebration of our annual Tree of Life Ceremony. For the past 30 years, friends and families have gathered together on village greens across the region, singing Christmas carols, sharing words of comfort and encouragement, and uniting in one magical moment lighting the “Hospice Tree of Life”. As the season of giving approaches, we once again take time to reflect on the journey of hospice and the significance of this community celebration of hope and healing.

On December 13 at 6:30 p.m. you and your loved ones will have an opportunity to participate in this year’s ceremony from the comfort of home. Given the extraordinary circumstances and uncertainties surrounding the pandemic, we will share a video of a Tree of Life ceremony hosted by our hospice team of dedicated and caring professionals and volunteers. Our celebration will include a simultaneous tree-lighting experience representative of the many towns we serve and honoring the many lives that have been touched. In the community spirit of care and compassion, we invite you and your loved ones to join us with a tree-lighting ceremony of your own.

In addition to supporting hospice and palliative care services by purchasing a symbol of light, there are many reasons to participate in the Tree of Life. Although the journey of hospice is never easy, there are as many reasons to celebrate – for lives enriched and forever influenced by a loved one; for vivid memories of meaningful times well-spent; and for the compassionate care rendered by a team of Hospice caregivers and volunteers. Perhaps it is an opportunity to simply be present for the sheer peacefulness and spirit of this event.

Whatever the circumstance may be, the Tree of Life is a deeply personal way to celebrate a loved one, honor a caregiver, and pay tribute to so many remarkable individuals who have left their mark on our community and in our hearts. So wherever you are, whatever you may be doing, please take this special opportunity during the holiday season to reflect on your hospice journey in a unified celebration of life.
