Speech-Language Pathology

Our speech/language pathologists provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, treatment and therapeutic interventions for patients with oral and/or communication challenges. Through a variety of techniques and treatments, including augmentative or alternative communication techniques and a host of other state-of-the-art services, our highly-qualified therapists help patients of all ages overcome speech, language and oral motor challenges. Ask your physician for a referral to DKH speech/language pathology services. Services are available on an inpatient, outpatient or in-home basis, depending on your particular needs and treatment plan.

Speech/language pathology may be used to treat conditions such as:

oral motor disorders
problems with speech articulation
learning/language differences
difficulty with written language
problems with voice regulation and fluency
feeding/swallowing disorders, including evaluation of swallowing difficulties via modified barium swallow tests performed in conjunction with our Diagnostic Imaging Department

Billing for speech/language pathology services delivered at a Day Kimball Healthcare location will come from Day Kimball Hospital. Billing for services provided at home will come from Day Kimball HomeCare.
