Day Kimball Healthcare’s (DKH) Pumpkins & Pearls Auction and Cocktail Party, held September 27 at Ballard Farm in Thompson, raised over $20,000 for DKH at Home's in-home care programs which include HomeMakers, HomeCare, and Hospice & Palliative Care.

“We are overwhelmed by the support and generosity displayed at this year’s auction,” said Kristen Willis, development director, Day Kimball Healthcare. “Together we have ensured that patients will continue to receive high quality and compassionate in-home care programs right here in our community.”

It was a beautiful and festive autumn evening for a great cause. Guests enjoyed musical entertainment provided by The Barley Hoppers, a silent auction and raffle, delicious appetizers, gourmet desserts, and a cash bar by Mack’s Catering.

Willis expressed special thanks to Karen and Blair Cole of the Ballard Farm for hosting the event. “Words alone are not enough to thank our volunteers, donors and sponsors for making this event a huge success. The funds raised directly benefits our patients and their families by supporting vital services that are not normally covered by insurance,” said Willis. “Once again, our Northeast Connecticut family has risen to the occasion by coming together to aid and support some of its most vulnerable members.”
