Day Kimball Healthcare provides high quality, convenient diagnostic imaging services at four locations across northeast Connecticut. Our state-of-the-art facilities use the latest technologies. Our associated board-certified radiologists from Jefferson Radiology are experts in the fields of diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology. Our diagnostic services including CT/PET Scanning, Mammography, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound have been accredited by the American College of Radiology. And, our integrated Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system means your care team will have access to your imaging results as soon as they’re available, providing you with a shorter wait time to receive results and helping you to avoid redundant testing so you can better control your healthcare costs.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
Services include head and body scans, breast MRI and Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA). We also offer the High Field Espree Open Bore MRI machine for those who aren’t comfortable in the traditional enclosed MRI.
Nuclear medicine uses radioactive substances to visualize the structure and function of internal organs. Services include cardiac SPECT scans, thyroid function scans and bone, gastrointestinal, liver, spleen, and renal (kidney) scans.
PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Scans
PET scans use a radioactive drug to show how your tissues and organs are functioning. PET scans are helpful in diagnosing or assessing several conditions, including cancer, heart disease and brain disorders.
